State Gavel: After Action

Seven members of Edgewood Lodge No.82, traveled to Animas Lodge No.15 to retrieve the State Gavel to Edgewood, after a 2-year absence. Since that Lodge meets on the same night Edgewood Lodge No.82 meets, they took advantage of a District No.1 Continuation Day. RWB Ron Holloway, DDGM Dist. 1, conspired with the members of Edgewood and opened a Special Communication of Animas Lodge No. 15, so everything would be “legal”.
The Continuation Day saw 9 members of several Lodges in District No. 1 complete the Degrees. Animas Lodge No.15 served a great lunch and the MM Degree was conferred in the afternoon.
The trip back to Edgewood took a little longer than going up. The Grand Marshal, serving as “Nagigator”, took some of the group home via Aztec, which resulted in a stop off at a local heavy equipment junkyard.
